A Lot Of Silly A Book of Rhymes and Nonsense by Joy Cowley. Illus. David Barrow. Pub. Gecko Press, 2024

This collection of delightful stories and poems have all been around for sometime and have been published in other Joy Cowley picture books but having them all in one publication is a treat.

A Lot Of Silly A Book of Rhymes and Nonsense by Joy Cowley. Illus. David Barrow. Pub. Gecko Press, 2024

My favourite story has always been about the little girl who took her tiger to the dentist because it had tooth ache. The only food the little girl gave to her tiger was cake hence the problem. The dentist fixed the tooth and recommended to the little girl that she let her tiger eat what other tigers ate. guess what happens?

beautifully illustrated by David Barrow there are stories and poems about Elephants, cats, frogs and the Horrible Thing with hairy feet.

Well worth having in any children’s book collection and being hardbacked and picture book sized it is a collectors item.
